Edmund Brown Recognized for Service to CSI

Edmund L. Brown, CSI CCCA of Brenner Design was recently awarded the 2011 President’s Award for his service to the Indianapolis Chapter of the Construction Specification Institute. Brown, a Graduate Architect at Brenner Design, has served as a Director of CSI Indianapolis for 2 years. In addition to serving as education committee chairperson, Brown was recently elected chapter Vice President.
Brenner Design proud partner in City of Greencastle’s receipt of “Stellar Communities” grant
City of Greencastle selected as one of two communities to share $31 million in funding

Brenner Design was an integral part of the successful strategic proposal team for the City of Greencastle’s “Stellar Communities” grant application completed over the past 6 months. Officially announced on Monday, March 7, 2011, the City of Greencastle is one of two communities selected to share an estimated $31 million in community improvement funding.
Stellar Communities is a first of its kind collaboration initiated by Lt. Governor Skillman between INDOT, the Office of Community and Rural Affairs, the Indiana Housing and Community Development Agency, and the State Revolving Fund to help fund communities' strategic plans.
Brenner Design provided professional knowledge of funding proposals, city planning, façade design proposals, and streetscape design for the City of Greencastle.

Brenner Design announces new LEED project.
The Gruene House is the first LEED registered beach home on the Texas Gulf Coast.

Brenner Design announced today that The Gruene House (pronounced "green") is the first beach home to be registered as a LEED project by the US Green Building Council (USGBC). The home is located in the new-urbanist development called Cinnamon Shore in Port Aransas Texas.
Designed by award-winning architect and interior designer, Diana M.H. Brenner, FAIA IIDA LEEP AP, the Gruene house features sustainable elements, products and materials and will be applying for a LEED Gold Rating.
The home will be showcased as part of the 2011 Sustainable Home Tour sponsored by Cinnamon Shore and will showcase energy efficient, recycled, Enerystar, FSC Certified and water saving products and materials.
Project Partners include Turner Construction Management, Contects Green Homes Provider and Gill Nursery Landscape Design.

Arts Council of Indianapolis wins Excellence in Design Award.
Brenner Design announces new design award.

Brenner Design has won an award for outstanding interior design during the 2010 Monumental Awards sponsored by Keep Indianapolis Beautiful. The project for the Arts Council of Indianapolis was awarded a Merit Award in the Interior Design category.
The project was a full renovation of an existing building at 925 N. Pennsylvania Street in downtown Indianapolis. The design features a full museum quality gallery along with common area and working offices for the Arts Council of Indianapolis
This is the 16th award received by Brenner Design for their architectural and interior design projects.
